2005/6 season

The team rallied well from a rather self-inflicted defeat in the first match and won the SCCU championship for the 9th time in 10 seasons in some style. However, the semi-final proved third time lucky for Sussex, who Essex had defeated twice in the qualifying competition, and a four point Essex lead was overhauled to secure a board count victory.
